I wouldn’t be too sure that Carrie Bradshaw and the Sex and City girls would still order that classic “Cosmo” if they were around to hit the town this Friday night. That Cosmo and Manolo shite is SO 1999.

Industry big wigs with their fancy charts and graphs are telling everyone right now that brown spirits growth is crazy and has been for the past year or so. Our bartenders will tell you the same thing. Whiskey is IN.

Just a little back story about spirits — of course, vodka is still king of the spirit world. It outsells any other spirit category in the business and has for as long as most of us have been tipping. The amazing thing to industry observers is that, whiskey’s growth is truly notable. Even more notable though, is that women are leading the charge.

Sure, we’d seen what we thought was fringe experimentation with some classic cocktails in some of our own sales info and heard it from the customers, but it really busted through this year. So, after a tough afternoon of decision-making, plotting and sampling, we built some tremendous whiskey cocktails for our limited time menu. Here’s a few stand-outs:

Maple Manhattan

The Dicken’s Cider
